PayPal payment notifications on your phone

Money arrived? Your phone should say so. Webhooky turns PayPal’s webhooks into instant push notifications – for payments, refunds and disputes.

Set it up in PayPal

  1. In the Webhooky app, create an endpoint called “PayPal” and copy your link.
  2. Log in to the PayPal Developer Dashboard and open your app under Apps & Credentials (create a REST app if you don't have one – a few clicks).
  3. Scroll to Webhooks, click Add webhook and paste your Webhooky link.
  4. Select the event types you want (see below) and save.

Events worth subscribing to

  • PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED – money actually arrived.
  • CHECKOUT.ORDER.APPROVED – a buyer approved a checkout.
  • PAYMENT.CAPTURE.REFUNDED – a refund was issued.
  • CUSTOMER.DISPUTE.CREATED – a buyer opened a dispute.

Also works via automation tools

If you'd rather not touch the developer dashboard, connect PayPal to Webhooky through Zapier, Make or IFTTT: use the PayPal trigger there and a webhook POST to your Webhooky link as the action.
